Aftershock 2022: Day 3 Photo Gallery

As the Aftershock Festival rolls on, the days get shorter, but the music gets louder… and better!

Yesterday’s presentation was the most anticipated yet since My Chemical Romance was announced to play Aftershock 2020. COVID put the kibosh on 2020, and 2021 rolled forward with Metallica, but MCR just wasn’t able to make it… until now.

This brings us to Saturday 2022, and a blistering closing set delivered by MCR. A Day To Remember and Lzzy Hale and Halestorm also laid down heat on the main stages to match the heat of the day.

But the real winner Saturday were the Sacramento fans, as hometown favorites Papa Roach Knocked it out of the park. Not only did they grind out hits like Between Angels and Insects, Help and of course, Last Resort, but they closed their 13-song set with Born for Greatness, featuring the UC Davis Marching Band.

Lead Guitarist Jerry Horton introduced daughter Emilia, who covered the bass duties on “Scars”.

Today, Sunday, is bittersweet, with headliners Muse stepping in as a last-minute headliner to replace Foo Fighters.

The Foos had to relinquish their headliner spot after the tragic death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in March.

In another disappointment, Jelly Roll is also pulling out of Sunday’s performance, having lost his voice.

Jacksonville Florida’s “Shinedown” and Sheffield’s “Bring Me The Horizon” will nail down the day’s performances.

Aftershock continues today and tomorrow, October 8th and 9th, 2022. For more information, please visit https://aftershockfestival.com/
