Event promoter Danny Wimmer Presents dropped the lineup today for the 10th-anniversary installment of the well-attended Aftershock rock festival.
The event which was held at Gibson Ranch park in 2015 is in 2022 scheduled for Thursday, October 6th through Sunday, October 9th. DWP will once again bring four days of head-banging goodness to Discovery Park.
If the 2021 festival was a bit muted due to COVID restrictions, this 2022 edition is celebratory in scope and celebrity.
Thursday brings us headliners Slipknot, with perennial crowd-pleaser Rob Zombie and the Amy Lee-led Evanescence.
Friday is classic metal night with headliners KISS and 80s rockers Judas Priest.
Saturday offers My Chemical Romance, which is making up for the 2021 show that they had to cancel. Also headlining are A Day to Remember and local boys Papa Roach.
The massive, Dave Grohl-led Foo Fighters rock and roll show headlines the Sunday lineup and is a spectacular way to close out the festival. Also headlining Sunday are Shinedown and Bring Me The Horizon, the British band lead by Oli Sykes and Jordan Fish, who have managed to bring their brand of screamo thrash metal to the American Top 40.
