Free Lunches at the Library

As the school year winds down, families across the Sacramento region can take advantage of free summer meal programs offered by local school districts and community organizations. These programs aim to ensure that all kids 18 and under have access to nutritious meals even when school is out.

Lunch at the Library provides free meals to youth when school is out for the summer. Starting June 18 through August 9, meals will be distributed at 14 library locations Tuesdays through Fridays from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.

Lunch is available for youth 18 and under who are physically present. Meals must be consumed on-site. No registration is required. Drop-ins are welcome. 

  • Eligibility documentation is not required
  • Provided for free to all youth 18 and under
  • Look for signage at the library or meeting room entrance 

Meals are available at 14 library locations, including Rio Linda, Arcade, Del Paso, North Highlands/Antelope, and North Sacramento.

Meals are also available at:

– Natomas Unified School District: Natomas Unified School District offers free breakfast 8-8:30 a.m. and lunch 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m. from May 29-August 2 at four locations: American Lakes, Two Rivers Elementary, Natomas Park Elementary and Witter Ranch Elementary.

– Robla School District: Robla School District offers free breakfast 8-9 a.m. and lunch 12:30-1:30 p.m. from June 17-July 26 at Robla School.
