“We take special pride in the arts education we provide our students, and the Festival of the Arts is a great opportunity to showcase and celebrate their many talents. All of our students have access to the arts before, during, and after school throughout the district, and we strongly believe the study of and participation in the arts is a key factor in improving learning in all academic areas. Festival of the Arts is a wonderful event, and I encourage the community to join us in celebrating and supporting our talented students and their creativity and achievements in the arts at all grade levels.”

Twin Rivers Superintendent Steve Martinez, Ed.D.

There’s a tremendous amount of work put into planning this special event through our Visual and Performing Arts Department.

“Our Festival of the Arts is unique because it brings together students across the district from different schools and different grade levels,” says Danise Egan, Director of Arts and Career Education. “This event is so impactful because students share their art—music, dance, and visual art—with a real audience in a public venue. That is what all artists do. Artists share their work by performing and exhibiting their work. This event allows the entire community to come together to celebrate and recognize the students’ hard work and accomplishments in the visual and performing arts.”
